Welcome to the Natural Ventilation Design Advisor
This site has been created to give information on existing naturally ventilated buildings and their functionality. The information that you will find on this site has been gathered as part of research that is being conducted to understand the possibilities of using natural ventilation in a wider range of buildings in the United States, where sealed air conditioned buildings are common practice.

For quick information on the research, click here. Or, look at a report that was put together to summarize all of the buildings visited.

The following are descriptions of the tabs located along the left border of the site:

  • Introduction : You are currently on the introduction page.
  • Built Location : A list of buildings in the research sorted based on where it is located.
  • Building Age : A list of buildings in the research sorted based on when it was built.
  • Building Type : A list of buildings in the research sorted based on the type of building.
  • Detail Type : A list of buildings in the research sorted based on the major types of natural ventilation details.
  • Summary : Read a full report on all of the buildings that are included in this research.
